What do you need blasted?

Strip Decades of Paint Without Warping a Single Panel

Classic car restoration is brutal on shortcuts. Heat-based stripping warps thin vintage sheet metal. Dry sandblasting drives grit into every seam and overheats panels in seconds. Chemical strippers leave residue that ruins your primer adhesion six months down the line. Dustless blasting solves all three. Water in the media stream kills the heat, kills the dust, and kills the static, so we can strip a 1967 Mustang fender or a Model A frame back to bare metal without warping a single panel. We work mobile across Southern California, set up at your shop, your garage, or your storage unit, and have you in primer the same day.

Why Choose Us

The AAFB Advantage

No Warping on Thin Sheet Metal

Water-injected media keeps panel temperatures low. Critical for 18 to 22 gauge steel from the muscle car era that warps the moment a dry blaster touches it.

Strips Every Layer in One Pass

Cuts through factory paint, dealer respray, primer, body filler, and surface rust in a single visit. No going back over the same panel three times with different methods.

Mobile to Your Build Location

We bring the rig to you. Saves you from disassembling a roller, trailering parts across the county, or paying shop storage while a stripper has your project for weeks.

Our Process

How It Works

Step 1

Walk the Project With You

On-site quote. We look at the car, talk through your build plan, identify what gets blasted aggressively, what needs gentle handling, and what comes off first.

Step 2

Mask, Plug & Protect

Tape off glass, plug drain holes, cover anything staying on the car, and set up containment. Your driveway, garage floor, or shop bay stays clean.

Step 3

Strip to Bare Metal

Dustless blast every surface in scope. Pressure and media dialed in panel by panel, light on thin steel, heavier on frames and chassis components.

Step 4

Blow Down & Hand Off

Compressed air blow-down, wipe-off, and a walk-around so you know exactly what you are working with. Get primer or epoxy on it within 24 hours to lock the metal.

Common Questions

Classic Car Restoration FAQ

No. The water in the media stream absorbs the heat that causes warping. Dry sandblasting builds heat fast and warps thin panels in seconds. Dustless lets us strip a 1965 Mustang quarter or a 1957 Chevy door without distortion. We still adjust pressure panel by panel, lighter on roof skins and door skins, heavier on frames and floor pans.

We come to you. Mobile dustless blasting means we set up at your home, your garage, your storage unit, or your buddy's shop anywhere in Southern California. No trailering a half-finished project across the county.

Depends on size, layers of paint, and rust. A typical muscle car body shell with the doors, hood, and decklid runs most of a day. A full frame-off project usually takes a day or two on site.

Two-hour minimum at $600. Most classic car work goes well past that, but the minimum covers travel, setup, and small jobs like a single fender or a chassis section. Returning customers get a 5% discount, which adds up fast on a multi-visit restoration.
